Looking for a career in the circus? AcroSports City Circus may be for you. City Circus is a high-level circus training and performance program designed to enrich the lives of the performers involved as well as prepare them for professional performance careers.

The training program focuses on three core areas:

  • Acrobatics & Dance - tumbling and partner/ensemble acrobatics, flexibility, strength and conditioning, dance (ballet, acrobatic, hip-hop), parkour & movement
  • Specialty skills - aerial arts, contortion, hand balancing, object manipulation & other specialized circus disciplines
  • Theatrical and creative performance - improvisation, juggling, clowning, physical theatre, character development and choreography

City Circus meets 9 hours per week: mon/wed/fri from 6-9pm. Student to coach ratios average around 3:1. Ensemble members train at AcroSports, and perform around the bay area throughout the year, culminating in the Spring with a 4-6 week show run at a professional theatre.

Who may apply: intermediate-advanced level performers ages 11-22. Applicants should have a solid grounding in at least 2 of the following: tumbling, specialty skills, dance, juggling, and/or theatre. Tuition is subsidized, and financial assistance is available.
